SPEAKING, TRAINING & WRITING

SPEAKING

When Aileen first moved to the US she spent many years traveling the country and speaking about communication to businesses (think of her as a cynical motivational speaker.) She worked with many companies from the inside and learned a lot about how they ran behind the scenes, what motivated people and what made their customers and clients grin. Aileen now mostly gives speeches about creativity and why it matters in business (and believe me it does).

Before she left England Aileen won the title of Top Humorous Speaker in the UK and Ireland (Toastmasters Intl) She still uses her English wit and sarcasm generously (you have been warned)

Aileen is currently booking an entertaining new speech (to go with the new book), A Little Speech About Fire - it’s adaptable to lots of industries and is a fun, interactive talk that encourages people to find their spark and set the world ablaze (figuratively of course).

We have all been through so much in the last few years and this speech is a reminder of who we can be, and what we can achieve when we remember who we really are.

PITCH TRAINING

Aileen has lots of experience helping entrepreneurs navigate the process of pitching a startup opportunity to investors. This combines her business, presentation and design experience in one thing. Working with startups is always fun, and watching how quickly they become proficient and confident presenters is a joy. She has trained recipients of hundreds of thousands of dollars of investments.

PRESENTATION SKILLS TRAINING

Presentation Skills are still vital in business today. Aileen trains people to be comfortable and confident on a stage and in front of an audience of any size. She uses fun and unexpected techniques to bring out the best in people because relaxed people make the best communicators.

WRITING

Aileen writes a weekly column in The Advocate called BE YOU, it’s a series of questions answered by a different fascinating person each week (all people are fascinating if you ask the right questions)

She is the author of 3 books, numerous articles, and is currently working on some visual journalism that fulfills her natural curiosity and shows how her brain works.
